Other Workshop Topics:
Seventh Generation Community Projects also conducts workshops on a variety of other topics. During 2008, we will conduct a workshop once 20 people have expressed interest in a topic. At this point, the workshop will be scheduled at the most convenient time and location. If you would like to attend a workshop, please complete the Information Form and you will be contacted with more details. If you would like to co-host a workshop, please contact seventhgeneration@tuckerhouse.ca.
The Healthy Home
We tend to take our own physical health for granted until something goes wrong. This is an important topic for people wanting to ensure that their own or their clients' living and working spaces are as healthy as possible. Come and explore in-depth issues and solutions for the home environment. Learn how certain indoor conditions can create or worsen health problems: allergies, asthma, head-aches, colds, flu, fatigue, chemical or environmental sensitivities, sick building syndrome, etc. Simple and practical information will allow you to better understand homes and their systems so that healthy changes can be made. Questions are encouraged! Handouts, visual aids and plenty of other resources will be on hand.
Time: 10am-4pm on a Saturday
Cost: $35 / $25 member
Introduction to Straw Bale Construction
A lecture and slide show covering the building process, energy efficiency and commonly
asked questions.
Time: 10:00am-3:00pm on a Saturday

Introduction to Green Energy

Time: 10am-4pm on a Saturday
Cost: $35 / $25 member
Simple Living Workshop
A participatory exploration of ways to simplify your life. Moving at an unprecedented speed physically, mentally and spiritually, we are "stuff-aholics" craving inner peace. With consciousness and creativity, come and clarify simple choices you can begin to integrate into your life immediately. Sarah Ban Breathnach, author of Simple Abundance says, you can be abundant and simple even though this seems ironic! Evening workshop.
Time: 7 - 9:30 pm on a weeknight event
Cost: $25 / $20 member
