We are always striving to be a more sustainable business and continually evaluate how to reduce our environmental impact, increase performance and safety, and create a more sustainable supply chain. For example, we try to use distribution centers that are centrally located and make deliberate decisions where to have goods manufactured so we aren’t shipping back and forth across the country. We also look to our supply partners to have science-based targets, improve efficiency, and sustainable businesses themselves. We believe it is our responsibility to set a course for a more mindful way of doing business.

Thirty years ago, a handful of dedicated Vermont entrepreneurs and activists looked at the world around them and saw it heading in the wrong direction. There was too much dirty air and not enough clean water, too many toxins and no real alternatives, too much waste and not enough wisdom.
